"Straight ahead rock-n-roll" is how host Gene Norman from WGOW 102.3's program Backstage Chattanooga best describes the
music of Circle of Willis. Their music and live performance is a high energy guitar driven assault on the human mind. If you
pour Neil Young, The Ramones and Hank Williams Jr. in a blender and select puree the end result will be the sounds of Circle
of Willis. They combine the earnest philosophy of the middle class working man with the unbridled energy of the sun. At a
live performance you can expect to hear originals combined with an eclectic mix of covers ranging from Neil Young to The Violent
Femmes.
Circle of Willis is quickly gaining the momentum to be one of the southeast's most popular bands. 2001 proved
to be a very impressive year for the band as they regularly played shows in and around the Chattanooga area. In July Circle
of Willis opened for the Gourds from Austin, Texas at the Nightfall Concert Series in Chattanooga, Tennessee. And in September
they headlined the Sundown at Thunder Creek Harley Davidson Concert Series also in Chattanooga. Circle of Willis consist of
Jeff Jacks on guitar and vocals, Casey Magnusson on lead guitar and backing vocals, Ken Gentry on bass guitar and Jonathan
Crist on the drums.
